January Pool Session Updates

All of our updates from January with pictures below.

January 9 2020

Happy New Year (we think it’s still ok to say that!) and great to be back at the pool after the Christmas break.

A quiet one to start as we welcomed Catalin and Andrei to start their PADI Open Water Referral Course and great to see members Paul and Wayne drop in to blow some bubbles too.

We also welcomed back Louis to go through his options to complete his Open Water with us and we look forward to getting him started soon.

Thanks to Paul and Sakib for running the session last night. A lot more staff will be there tomorrow as Confined Open Water continues, Seal and Master Seals and lots of Discover Scuba to look forward to.

11 January 2020

A busy Saturday in which we welcomed Lily, Luke and Amy to Discover Scuba with us.

Nia was back to continue her Open Water Course completing mod 1 and Andrei and Catalin we’re back to complete mod 2.

We also had Tyler and Oliver doing Seal Team and Harry completed his photo and wreck Aquamissions on the Master Seal Team course. The underwater pictures were taken by him.

Sakib and Paul picked up their Divemaster application forms so we can’t wait for them to get those processed to formally welcome them to the ranks of the PADI Professionals.

Thanks to them together with Steve, Barry, Paul, Martin and David for today’s session.

16 January 2020

Still easing back into 2020 as we welcomed back Tally and Sam to continue their Open Water courses.

Tally completed module 4 and Sam completed module 5 so drysuit orientation for him next.

Mark passed his Discover Scuba Diving Leader exam and will now be sending his application in so we look forward to seeing him running DSD sessions as soon as that’s processed.

Thanks to Alfie covering surface last night and to Martin and Mark underwater.

18 January 2020

Another great Saturday at the pool following our Project AWARE course in the morning.

Nia completed PADI Confined Open Water mod 2 and moved along with 3 while Andrei and Catalin finished mod 3 and 4.

Seals and Master Seal courses continued as well with Lewis and Harry doing specialty Aquamissions while Antoni finished Aquamission 5 to become the latest member of the PADI Seal Team.

Thanks to all the team down and great to see Lesley covering surface for us yesterday and the team looked very dashing in their new shirts for this year.

20 January 2020

Great to be back at the Studios for the first of three pool sessions this week.

Lots of members down to blow bubbles and catch up as usual. Next Studios session is in 2 weeks on Monday 3 February so as usual email to book in.

23 January 2020

Another quiet one as Andrei and Catalin completed mod 5 and are almost ready for Open Water with just their RDP exam to go.

Great to see Paul and Sakib down for their first official session as PADI Professionals after receiving their certifications.

25 January 2020

A busier Saturday as we welcomed Tony, Erin, Sarah, Elizabeth, Teddy and Grady to Discover Scuba.

Catalin and Andrei wrapped up their RDP quiz and exam to finish their PADI Open Water Referral and we wish them a great holiday in Mexico.

Nia moved along with her Open Water course too.

Our last pictures to add to our January album as we wrap up what seems to have been a very long January! How many of you have broken those resolutions? Why not make a new one now and resolve to explore places you can’t. Scuba Diving can assist with that one.

We welcomed Yasmin to Discover Scuba and Sakib was down to go through materials ahead of his Emergency First Response Instructor Course. Paul P started his DSD Leader course with Barry.

Sam wrapped up the confined element of his Open Water course by completing his RDP quiz and exam.

Mark was down to measure up for his new Otter Drysuit which he will need for his Divemaster course this year. Great to see Dan back in the water too.
