February Pool Session Updates

1 February 2020

Back to the pool and great to see some old friends as Habiba joined us to refresh her skills as she has signed up to Advanced Open Water and Drysuit Diver course.

Tyler was back for his Master Seal Aquamissions and Nia almost finished confined open water module 4.

Cristina and Isla were also back to continue their Open Water Referral course.

Our first of 2 sessions this month at The Underwater Studio with lots of members down to blow bubbles and a deeper Discover Scuba Diving session for George.

Another future PADI pro as Mark joined us to go through his Divemaster materials and introduction to the course. We look forward to working with him as he progresses.

Becci and Steve also joined us to go through their Advanced Open Water knowledge reviews and get in the pool for some practice ahead of continuing their AOW course which they will be completing in early March

A relaxing Saturday at the pool as Lewis continued his PADI Master Seal Team course with Barry while dad and sister Andy and Amelia jumped in for a dip.

Cristina and Isla continued their Open Water Referral with Steve and Paul and it was great to see Dan and Maddie pop down to blow some bubbles as well.

Nice to see Steve and Fiona too and Martin was covering surface.

Another busy Saturday session yesterday at the pool!

We welcomed William, Barnaby and Oscar who discovered scuba diving with Jamie and Barry.

Nia completed module 4 of her Open Water course with David.

Ethan started his PADI Seal Team course with Kieran and Sakib and was joined by Harry who has nearly finished his Master Seal Team!

Cristina and Isla completed various modules of their Open Water courses with Steve and Paul and Tracey was covering surface.

Our second session at the studios this month and as always great to see members and students down the pool to blow bubbles.

Well done to Isla and Cristina moving along with their Open Water Referral course and experiencing deeper water for the first time.

Well done too to Sam completing his drysuit orientation dive and now looking forward to doing his qualifying dives soon.

Army Cadets Group tonight. Here’s what one of the leaders - Adam had to say.

“Thursday 20th February, we took a group of Essex Army cadets along to Blackshots Leisure centre for a scuba diving experience with David and his team of instructors. They provided a friendly and professional environment for the cadets, taking time to explain all the necessary procedures and safety aspects of Scuba diving. The Army instructors could take a back seat for once as the Dive Mania team took over.

Most of the cadets had no diving experience but were quickly put at ease during the pre-dive briefing and thanks to the high instructor to student ratio in the water, were soon able to start enjoying their first dive. All of them want to do this again.I'd like to thank David and the team who made this an enjoyable expereince for all the cadets.”

Another group booking as it was Little Ilford Youth Zone’s turn to Discover Scuba yesterday as we welcomed Karen and all to the pool.

All enjoyed their experience and we really appreciated the feedback given and we look forward to seeing them again.

Another great evening at the pool.

We welcomed Tim and Steve to Discover Scuba with Barry and Ajeet started his PADI Open Water Diver course with Paul and completed module 1.

Duncan joined us for a ReActivate with Tim and Mark started his Divemaster course with Martin and Steve and completed chapter one.

Great to see Dan pop in and lend a hand to Sakib on surface as well.

What did you do with your extra day this year? We were at the pool as usual wrapping up loads of courses today and starting new ones.

Well done to Harry completing his Master Seal Team and we look forward to him starting Open Water in a couple of weeks time. Well done too to Ethan completing his second Aquamission.

Christina and Isla passed their Exams and therefore completed their PADI Open Water Referral course.

Nia also completed her exam and module 5 to be ready for her open water dives with us. We welcomed back Jordan to start his Open Water course and he sailed through module one.

We also welcomed Jeevan, Deevan, Archie, Luca and Peter down to Discover Scuba too.

Thanks to all the team today for making a busy session run like clockwork as always.
