Truth to be told, I was petrified of the sea, well, any kind of water where I couldn’t touch or see the bottom for that matter. This all changed when my husband persuaded me to plunge into the open water and complete my PADI Open Water Course in Egypt 2015.
Two years have gone by and I’m now a qualified DiveMaster. Having completed the majority of my training in the UK I can honestly say I prefer diving abroad, the clear waters, hot temperatures and beautiful dive sights, who wouldn’t?
However, the benefit of facing the cold water is worth it. Most people say if you can dive in the UK you can dive anywhere in the world and I totally agree with them.
My journey to becoming a DiveMaster has been fantastic, I embarked my journey with DiveMania, my first course with them was the Dry Suit course. Then I complete a handful of Specialty courses, from then I went onto the Rescue course, and now I’m part of the DiveMania team!
The feeling you get assisting others achieve their goals in becoming a qualified scuba diver and being with them every every step of the way is amazing, a real feeling of success. Helping others while doing something you love is always a bonus! I look forward to many more adventures with DiveMania and will continue to help future scuba divers simply learn, laugh and blow bubbles underwater.
