DiveMania Scuba has just recently celebrated its 3rd birthday in November 2016 and are now in our fourth year of operation. During this time we have issued over 850 PADI certifications from Discover Scuba Diving experiences to Assistant Instructor.

We offer recreational scuba diving courses from Beginner to Professional and want to help you "Get your PADI" and teach you how to scuba dive, provide you with your first taste of scuba, continue your dive education or simply get you diving.

As you can see from the about us page our passion is diving and we love to teach people to dive in a patient, friendly and welcoming way. We all remember what its like to start as a new diver and we want you to have as much fun as we do. We think we spread this message pretty well from the feedback we get from our customers and the fact that they come back for more and more. So why choose us?

We are a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre. As a PADI Diver you are part of the wider diving community. PADI is the worlds most recognised training agency and has just recently issued its 25 millionth certification.

Our dive team is friendly, committed and professional and dedicated to give our customers the best experience on any course they take with us. They are all certified in line with HSE regulations and we adhere strictly to all training standards as well as the approved code of practice for recreational dive training.

We do not believe in pressure selling, at whatever stage you come to DiveMania we want you to enjoy your experience. It is then your decision how you take your diving forward. We also conduct courses at your pace. We will not charge you extra if you are taking more time, unlike some dive schools.

Your dive school should have surface cover at its pool sessions and when teaching you in Open Water as well as the surface cover there should be at least one instructor and one safety diver with you so ask your dive school if they do this.

This also goes for equipment and this should be serviced in line with HSE regulations. Here at DiveMania our equipment is fully serviced or brand new. We have our own compressor for air and this is also tested every 3 months. Again, if your dive school's equipment doesn't look too great then ask yourself are they taking care of it and more importantly, is it safe?

Once we have taught you to dive we want to help you develop as a diver with further education and get you diving recreationally both in the UK and abroad. We run regular trips and have regular training weekends throughout the dive season from April to November.

We encourage you to go diving as well with your buddies as our aim is to see people out there having fun and enjoying diving. We are a travel agent for Blue O2 Dive Holidays and run organised trips with them or we can help you in arranging a trip for yourself.

To help you do this we encourage you to join our dive club. Our members benefit from the following:

1. At least 8 pool sessions a month at our two pool locations, Impulse Leisure, Blackshots Lane, Grays and The Underwater Studios, Basildon. Details of times are on our Contact Page.

2. Members get to use equipment in the pool if its not in use by students and have free hire of equipment with a refundable deposit.

3. We will fill members tanks with air at only £2 per fill

4. Priority bookings on our club trips and discounts where possible

5. Discounted membership to Impulse Leisure

6. 10% discount on any full price course to members

7. 50% discount on the price of a Discover Scuba Diving experience to members friends and family.

We are fully transparent on all of our prices. Everything is shown on our website.

We are a school first but we do run a small shop as a service to our customers and members. We try to source kit and arrange to service your equipment. We aim to beat the best price you can find but if we can't then we will happily tell you.
