As you take your first giant stride as newly qualified diver, you are hooked by this highly addictive hobby. Eagerly you move through Advanced and Rescue courses picking up some specialities along the way. Suddenly you are sending off for your Master Scuba Diver certificate. Feeling proud that you have achieved this status, the day comes when your instructors first mention about becoming a Dive Master. You have your first mentor conversations with your instructor, as to what is expected from a PADI Dive Master. The skill requirements and personal development that you have to under go to become a diving professional, who leads and inspires others. You feel the anticipation of how this will transform and mould you into this new adventure as a professional diver. There have been highs and lows trying to master the skills to a high standard, good times when you achieve them. Fun times whilst you are learning and feeling proud when you have been part of the team introducing new divers to your passion. I have to say as I have nearly completed by Diver Master that its been one of the most amazing experiences, and to have helped nurture new divers to leave us as qualified divers or to help them progress in this sport is truly humbling.
